I saw this post on one of my favourite blogs (Aurora Librialis) and thought it was such a great idea! As with most of the tags I do, I never tag anyone specifically but encourage everyone who wants to do it to take part. I can’t wait to get to know you all better!
So without further ado, let’s get on with the tag…
#1 Your favourite colour and a book you own in that colour?
You’d think this first question would be quite easy, but it’s probably one of the most difficult questions for me haha. There’s lots of colours I love. I love bluey sapphire colours and emerald green colours, but then I also love warm reds and browns and ochre colours. I guess one book that combines most of these is the book I’m currently reading; The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock by Imogen Hermes Gowar.
#2 Describe yourself in three book characters
I actually did a couple of quizzes to help me with this haha!
Elizabeth Bennet: Independent, quick-witted, and loyal.
Jo March: Doesn’t like being told what to do, outspoken, and loves reading.
Luna Lovegood: Mysterious, lives in her imagination, and unconventional.
#3 Hyped books – yes or no? If yes – what’s the most hyped book you’ve read? If no – what’s the most hyped book you’ve decided not to read?
Yes – I have read a few hyped books (like Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, The Essex Serpent…) but I’m normally the last person in the world to read them haha. I always feel like there’s a certain pressure when reading a hyped book, I feel compelled to fall in love with it and that’s not always the case…
#4 Name one book that wrecked you emotionally
Mister Pip by Lloyd Jones. I remember reading this book for the first time in secondary school and since then, it’s meant a lot to me.
#5 Name one book you would recommend with tea and cookies
The first book that came to my head was The Hobbit. Though I do think it’s a cosy read, I think I thought of it primarily because Bilbo would love tea and cookies…
#6 What is your guilty pleasure book?
I don’t have one! I would never feel guilty about reading any type of book; you should always stick up for what makes your heart full!
#7 Favourite dessert and a book that reminds you of it
Choosing a favourite dessert is very hard… (I have such a sweet tooth!) One of my favourites is probably chocolate covered strawberries. They make me feel like I’m not being that unhealthy haha. I’d say Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl reminds me of them; everything’s just covered in chocolate!
#8 Are you a procrastinator? What books have you been procrastinating reading?
Not really! I’ve got quite a lot of willpower and self-motivation. I certainly don’t procrastinate when it comes to books! In fact, I’m more likely to procrastinate on other likes like work and chores so that I can read…
That’s everything! Thanks for reading. Let me know if you’re planning on taking part in this tag.
Love Zoe xx
